The basics

Do you have to take the ACCUPLACER?

You may qualify for a waiver through your High School transcripts (within 5 years), successful completion in Developmental level courses in English and/ or math from another North Carolina Community College. SAT or ACT scores, Advanced placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or College Level Exam Program (CLEP) exams and more.

How to study for it? Need a little refresher?  In this link are  practice tests, review videos, and study guides are available  online.

What if I have taken the exam at another school?


If you have taken the NC DAP or ACCUPLACER at another school within the last five years, have an official copy of your scores mailed or faxed to CPCC,  C/O: Matt Bruining, Director.  Scores must be sent from the educational institution where test was taken.
