Disbursement of Books and Supplies

Central Piedmont Community College students whose financial aid awards (excluding work-study) are greater than the semester charges for tuition, fees, and supplies may charge books and supplies to their student account no earlier than ten days before classes start in CPCC’s bookstore.  (Students will need a CPCC student ID card and a copy of their schedule.)

Financial aid recipients (excluding work-study) are eligible to charge their books against their anticipated financial aid (remaining financial aid after tuition and fees) as long as they have an awarded financial aid file and meet all student eligibility requirements. Any charges not covered by financial aid are the responsibility of the student.  Students using their financial aid at another college are ineligible.

Book charging is allowed no earlier than ten days before each semester starts and ends on the 7th business day of the semester.  If students choose to OPT OUT of charging their books before courses begin, the students must wait for remaining financial aid funds, after tuition and fees have been paid, to be released to their existing bank account or to a BankMobile Vibe checking account before they can purchase books using financial aid. Students may pay out of pocket for their books at any time.
