Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Facts:
- Gift Aid (does not have to be repaid)
- Funded by the Federal Government
- Gives priority to Federal Pell Grant recipients.
- Administered directly by CPCC's Financial Aid/VA Office.
- The amount of aid awarded depends on the student's financial need, or the amount of other aid the student receives, and on the availability of funds.
Requirements:
- Be eligible for a Pell Grant
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Be enrolled at least 6 credit hours in an eligible program. (If not enrolled at least 6 credit hours, award will be cancelled. Award for the following semester will also be cancelled unless you contact the Financial Aid Office.)
- not have a Bachelors degree
- Make Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
How to Apply:
- Apply to the College and be admitted to an eligible program of study.
- Complete the current FAFSA form.
- If you are applying for the Fall 2005, Spring 2006, or Summer 2006, complete the 2005/06 FAFSA form.
- FSEOG is awarded in the Fall and Spring semesters only.
- Complete your Financial Aid file (check priority dates).
