Gift Aid (does not have to be repaid)
Funded by the Federal Government
Gives priority to Federal Pell Grant recipients.
Administered directly by CPCC's Financial Aid/VA Office.
The amount of aid awarded depends on the student's financial need, or the amount of other aid the student receives, and on the availability of funds.

Be eligible for a Pell Grant
Demonstrate financial need
Be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen
Hold a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Be enrolled at least 6 credit hours in an eligible program. (If not enrolled at least 6 credit hours, award will be cancelled. Award for the following semester will also be cancelled unless you contact the Financial Aid Office.)
not have a Bachelors degree
Make Satisfactory Academic Progress
Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Apply to the College and be admitted to an eligible program of study.
Complete the current FAFSA form.
If you are applying for the Fall 2005, Spring 2006, or Summer 2006, complete the 2005/06 FAFSA form.
FSEOG is awarded in the Fall and Spring semesters only.
