The FI conducted a two day conference that provided NCCCS vocational and technical faculty with blended training (face-to-face and modularized distance courses) in the most current technologies in three disciplines: information assurance; geospatial technologies; and bioinformatics and grid computing. Over fifty faculty from twenty-three institutions attended the sessions which were conducted by nationally recognized industry and academic experts. Video of all presentations and all training material is posted to the FI web site. Response to the conference was universally excellent with many requests to hold additional seminars on emerging technology.
