Geospatial Technology

Geospatial Technologies is a range of related technologies used in a variety of different industries. It is a rapidly growing technological field that incorporates graphical features with data sets in order to assess real-world problems.

GIS combines layers of information about a place to give one a better understanding of that place. Some of the factors leading to the rise in GIS are the revolution in information technology, remote sensing, global positioning systems (GPS) and communication technology.
