Characterized by their use of topographic surveys, textual fragments and found artifacts, Porter’s drawings and models construct complex narratives that connect the viewer to imaginative landscapes. These landscapes, which often serve as sites for sacred events such as excavations, burials and outdoor sermons, confront questions of figure and ground, and ritual and place.
