Plagiarism

CPCC Libraries offer assistance for faculty and students in understanding and avoiding plagiarism.

Check out our interactive video tutorial on plagiarism called Dr. Cite Right. You can find it on the library website under Research Tools. This interactive tool was developed by CPCC Librarians with the help of a CPCC student hired using funds from an Innovation Grant. The 10 minute tutorial covers the basics of plagiarism, how to avoid it, how to cite and includes review questions and a quiz.

[Dr. Cite Right has received acclaim following presentation at a national conference this year. It is now linked on many library websites across the nation!]

Also available are Library Instruction sessions covering both plagiarism and citations. These are listed on the library website under Library Services > Faculty Resources > Library Instruction classes. These classes are lively and interactive. You can get more information about all the classes offered by the library by contacting your campus librarian or the Reference Desk at the Central Campus at x6884.

CPCC librarians are always available to assist with custom classes, or particular questions about plagiarism. Please call the Central Reference Desk at x6884 or your campus librarian for more information.
