Overview

The Mechatronics Engineering Technology curriculum prepares individuals for jobs requiring electrical, mechanical, and computer skills necessary to work on complex systems found in manufacturing environments. Degree Awarded

The Associate in Applied Science – Mechatronics Engineering Technology degree is awarded upon completion of the program. The program is aligned by competencies with 3rd party industry recognized certifications of Siemens Mechatronics Systems Certification Program [SMSCP] levels 1 & 2, Packaging Machinery Manufactures Institute [PMMI], National Institute for Metalworking Skills [NIMS] Industrial Technology Maintenance and other.

Career Opportunities

Graduates should be qualified for the jobs such as industrial maintenance and manufacturing including assembly, testing, start-up, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of machinery and the associated control system.       Student Support Services

      As part of the programs work under TAACCCT to improve, digitize and help students succeed in the Mechatronics program, there is now a dedicated Student Success Coach for students currently enrolled in this program. Rebecca Ramirez supports students by helping to remove academic and personal barriers to success. Examples of support areas include facilitating tutoring, help with time management skills, help improving study skills, tips in forming good study habits, as well as consultation on housing, childcare and employment opportunities.
