Ask students to find a partner. They should take turns interviewing each other. After all of the questions have been asked and answered, have students report their findings. Record their findings on the board or on the overhead projector and discuss the results. For example, how many students are from Colombia; how many have lived more than a year, more than two years, in the U.S.; how many were professionals in their native countries, etc.

4. Did you have to learn any special skills for that job?
5. Where did you learn those special skills?
6. How long have you lived in the United States?
7. Do you have the same kind of job in this country that you had in your native country?

10. Where could you learn those special skills?
11. Are you taking English classes to help you find a new job?
12. Do you have any other special skills that you could use in a job?
