Write the following questions on the board. Ask the students to answer them with complete sentences. When everyone is finished, ask the students to volunteer to read their answers to the class. Then, ask if anyone had a different answer.


1. Why do some immigrants feel depressed when they move to the United States?

3. Do people from other countries discuss their mental problems, like depression, with others from the same country?

4. Why do many immigrants have problems with their children after moving to the United States?

6. If more immigrants were informed about free counseling services, would they seek it out?
