CIVICS OBJECTIVES

• Identify how, when and where to obtain free or low cost medical, dental and other health care services.
• Participate in CPR and First Aid training and demonstrate knowledge of health and safety occupations.
• Access the health care system and be able to interact with the providers.
• Interpret medical insurance coverage and resolve insurance coverage problems and issues with medical service providers.
• Demonstrate how to use pharmacies/drug stores and medicines.
• Locate and describe available resources in the community for prevention and treatment of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse.
