Online Syllabus System Tutorials

Video tutorials with narration are linked below (Flash)
TIP:  be sure your browser is set to permit popups.

The new Online Syllabus System is found at  https://services.cpcc.edu/syllabi  Note it's httpS

Instructors need to login, either in the center of the page or in the upper right hand corner.

How to Create a New Syllabus   Because this is a new system, all initial syllabi need to be created.  If you are teaching multiple sections of a course and want to use the identical syllabus, create the syllabus and submit it for publication multiple times, once for every section.  If you want customized versions of the syllabus, create the syllabus for one section; submit it for publication; make copies for the remaining sections; modify as desired; and submit each for publication.

How to Edit an Existing Syllabus  (e.g., one that you just created or copied)  If you copied and pasted content from a document you will probably have to correct the formatting.

How to Submit a Syllabus for Publication  Published syllabi are available to students and the public.

To edit a published syllabus, click on Manage Existing Syllabi; edit the syllabus and resubmit it to your division.  Once approved it will replace the earlier version.

How to Create a Link to a Published Syllabus      New!
Login to the Online Syllabus System. Click on View Published Syllabi; click on the name of the course; the syllabus will open in a new window; copy the web address (URL) that appears in the address bar of your browser window. Within your online course, paste this address into "Add an External Link" (Blackboard) or "Add a resource...Link to a file or webpage" (Moodle).
