Description
Multimedia content has proven its effectiveness in the online learning environment. CPCC eLearning/Instructional Development will continue to support the use of multimedia technologies to enrich active learning and maintain students’ engagement toward content. Following this pursuit, the Spring 2009 eLearning Seminar will evolve around the creation of instructional lessons via media clips to be distributed on the web.
The hybrid seminar will cover five modules. Module 1 (and optional 4) will be taught online using a Learning Management System – Blackboard. Modules 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be delivered in a traditional face-to-face environment.

Expectations
How this hybrid seminar will workTo participate in the seminar, faculty will choose one course in which they will include all multimedia pieces created during the seminar sessions. If extra media pieces are produced, they can be used in other courses.

What tools and resources are provided to attendees?The following eLearning development tools and resources will be provided to participants. The equipment will belong to CPCC. If the faculty member leaves the college, the equipment will remain at CPCC for the benefit of other instructors and students.
