Introduction to Blackboard & Moodle

This module will introduce you to the two Learning Management Systems that are supported by CPCC.  The module will include a lesson, tutorials, links and support documentation to address many of the questions and concerns that CPCC online students may encounter.

Upon Completion of Module Four, you will be able to:

  • Understand the general functionality of both Learning Management Systems: Blackboard and Moodle
  • Access and login  to your online course(s)
  • Navigate an online course
  • Understand the communication process/tools in an online course
  • Understand the assessment process/tools in an online course


To complete Module Four do the following:

  1. Click the "Module Four Lesson" in the Welcome block below.   The content includes:
    - What is Blackboard & what is Moodle?
    - How do I access & log into my classes?
    - What is my username & password?
    - How do I send in my assignments and view my grades?
    - Do I take my tests online?
  2. View the Tutorials on "How do I access my online course?", "How to navigate a course in Blackboard", "How do I submit my assignments in Blackboard?", "How do I view my grades in Blackboard?", "How do I submit my assignments in Moodle?", and "How do I view my grades in Moodle?" 
  3. Take the online Introduction to Blackboard and Moodle assessment.
