FERPA and Release of information to parents, school personnel and others

In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, Central Piedmont Community College does not release information about a student’s academic records, accommodations, and disability to anyone other than the student, including the student’s parents and student’s instructors. After meeting with a Disability Services Counselor and discussing the student’s rights they may sign a release of information form.
