Diplomas Offered

Diplomas in Application Development

The two-year degree program of Computer Technology Integration (CTI-A25500) is paired with one-year diplomas, as well as certificates that require less than one year of full-time study. Diplomas are awarded after completion of a minimum of 36 semester credit hours of required courses in the student’s program of study. For program completion, the final 9 credit hours must be earned at CPCC.

We offer four diplomas in Application Development:

Java Software Development (D25500-D4)

This diploma is designed to provide students with the foundation of software development using Java technologies. Students will also be introduced to the development of data driven applications. Special emphasis is placed in covering all the topics needed for the following Java certifications:

• Sun Certified Java Associate
• Sun Certified Java Programmer

.Net Software Development (D25500-D5)

This diploma is designed to provide students with the foundation of software development using Microsoft .NET technologies. Students will also be introduced to the development of data-driven applications. Special emphasis is placed in covering all the topics needed for the following Microsoft certifications:

• MCTS Certification on .NET Windows Applications
• MCTS Certification on .NET Web Applications

Oracle Administration (D25500-D2)

This diploma is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to design, implement and manage databases using Oracle technologies. Course work includes Database Design, Programming, Administration and Tuning of Transactional Oracle databases as an introduction to implementation of analytic databases and tools.

SQL Server Administration (D25500-D3)

This diploma is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to design, implement and manage databases using MS SQL Server technologies. Course work includes Database Design, Programming, Administration and Tuning of Transactional MS SQL Server databases as an introduction to implementation of analytic databases and tools.
