As the President of Central Piedmont Community College I want to extend a warm welcome to you. Central Piedmont is delighted to host the CRD Specialist Training Class of 2009!

During your visit I hope you will take advantage of all that Central Piedmont Community College and Charlotte have to offer. Central Piedmont Community College is the largest community college in North Carolina, and serves approximately 70,000 students per year on its six campuses. The majority of your training courses will be held on CPCC’s Central Campus, the largest campus located near Charlotte’s ever-evolving urban center. The Central Campus features a state of the art Advanced Manufacturing training lab (Integrated Systems Technology), a brand new performing arts building that includes a 1,020-seat theatre and a National Wildlife Foundation certified wildlife habitat.
While visiting Central Piedmont Community College, I hope you will experience some of Charlotte’s arts, cultural and historical attractions. You can experience the history of our “New South City” at the Levine Museum of the New South and explore a historic streetcar at the Charlotte Trolley Museum. The NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, located in the heart of downtown Charlotte, presents a broad array of Broadway and musical theatre performances. You may want to take a public art walking tour of downtown Charlotte, or visit the Mint Museum of Craft and Design along with several other art galleries. The Billy Graham Library is another unique venue you are sure to enjoy. In addition, during your stay Central Piedmont Community College will host its annual ArtsFest: A Celebration of the Creative Arts (http://artsfest.cpcc.edu/).
Enjoy your time at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. I am sure that you will find the training to be both rigorous and relevant and an important part of your overall growth as a resource development professional.  Enjoy your training!

Best Regards
Dr. Tony Zeiss
