There has been an exciting change to this year’s Week One/Model Campus training. This year, week one will be split between the campuses of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC and York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC. The program will feature an overview of fundamental and advanced training emphasizing skills development in private fundraising and grantsmanship.  The dual campus experience will provide a firsthand look at both urban and rural campuses. As in previous years, week two will be spent in Washington DC.

Week One: 
April, 19- 22 -Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC 
April, 22-24 - York Technical College, Rock Hill, SC

Week Two: Council for Resource Development , Washington, DC

What is The Council for Resource Development: The Council for Resource Development is the premier professional association for community college fundraisers. Its highly regarded Specialist Training Program is a two-week intensive introduction to all facets of resource development in the community college. It has been a training ground for many of the most successful community college fundraisers in the nation.

Who Should Attend: The Specialist Training Program is appropriate for professionals who are new to fundraising, new to community colleges or want to improve their private fundraising and grant writing skills. The comprehensive curriculum assures that each participant will learn the fundamentals of development. Experienced faculty, drawn from successful fundraising programs across the nation, will also share best practices. Additionally, the intense cohort experience (limited to 25 participants) and the immediate development of a peer network provide enduring benefit to participants.
