CAEC Guidelines

At CPCC, joint borrower's cards will be issued to part-time faculty with the approval of the appropriate department head. Interested faculty members may request the required form at any CPCC Library Circulation Desk.

Basic Guidelines:

  • Faculty should have a valid college or university identification card and a joint borrower’s card to check out circulating materials at other member libraries.
  • CPCC faculty who need this service can come to any CPCC Library Circulation Desk to obtain a joint borrower's card. The card is valid for the academic year only.
  • Faculty are not entitled to special privileges and must abide by the policies and procedures of the lending institution. Reference or other services are not included in this agreement.
  • The individual borrower must assume responsibility for the safe and timely return of all materials borrowed. Materials returned late will be subject to appropriate fines of the lending institution’s library.
  • Faculty must return all materials directly to the lending library. The borrower’s library will not be responsible for returning material to the lending library by mail.
