Joyce Crager

Registering for classes is just one of many important steps a student must take in order to prepare themselves for their educational career. Joyce Crager began working at the Information Desk at the Levine Campus in October 2000. She then moved to the North Campus in 2003. There, she works in the Registration Office.

Joyce obtained an A.A. from Daytona Beach Community College and moved to Charlotte in 2000. She feels very fortunate to be employed by Central Piedmont Community College; however, many of her co-workers believe our students are the fortunate ones. Susan Hrubes works part time at the North Campus and recalls a time when she witnessed Joyce working tirelessly with a student to coordinate their schedule until the student was completely satisfied.

Joyce is a very dedicated and hard-working employee who is always eager to assist our students. She takes the time to teach students how to read and navigate their way through the class schedule and does this with warmth and patience. She offers a supportive and encouraging smile, allowing each student to feel comfortable and excited about attending CPCC.

Joyce has been involved with the Wall of Stars program for 2 years and thoroughly enjoys working with our students as a mentor. She is also called upon quite frequently to revise the CPCC Admissions Office website.

Joyce strongly believes that every interaction with another person is an opportunity to exchange knowledge. Joyce embraces opportunities that allow for personal growth and encourages those she interacts with to learn and take ownership for their own educational destiny.
