MAIN/START SCREEN
This is the main screen displayed on the HP MFP units. Touch any of the on-screen buttons to start.

SENDING EMAIL (of Scanned Documents)

A. E-mail Basics

Step 1
Place your document face up in the Auto-Document Feeder (ADF) or face down on the glass.

Step 2
Touch the E-MAIL button.

Touch the To: button. Enter recipient's e-mail address. (See Entering E-mail Recipients.)

Step 4 (optional)
If you wish to Carbon Copy an additional recipient, touch the CC: button. Enter carbon copied e-mail addresses. (See Entering E-mail Recipients.)

Step 5 (optional)
If you wish to edit the e-mail subject line, touch the Subject: button. Type a short subject heading for your e-mail and touch OK to return to the E-mail screen.

Step 6 (optional)
If you wish to Blind Carbon Copy an additional recipient, touch the BCC: button. Enter recipient e-mail addresses that should not be seen by other recipients. (See Entering E-mail Recipients.)

Step 7 (optional)
If you wish to edit the e-mail output settings, touch the E-mail Settings button. Choose Describe Original for options that reflect how your original document looks. Change your e-mail output options under E-mail Settings

Step 8
Press the green Start button to send.

B. Entering E-mail Recipients
After touching the To:, CC:, or BCC: button, you will see the following touchscreen keyboard.

Step 1
  • If the desired recipient is a CPCC employee, simply enter their name as it appears in the directory, (e.g. John Smith). The unit will begin filling in addresses that match the letters which have been input. For example, after entering "John S", the remaining "mith" may already be filled in.
  • If the desired recipient is not a CPCC employee, you must type in the full e-mail address manually by using the touchscreen keyboard (e.g. user@company.com).

Step 2
Once the desired name is displayed, select OK to add the name or address to the list of recipients and to return to the E-mail screen.

MAKING COPIES

A. Copy Basics

Step 1
Place your document face up in the Auto-Document Feeder (ADF) or face down on the glass.

Step 2
Touch the COPY button. This will take you to a screen where you will be prompted to login.

Touch the On-screen PIN button to login in order to make copies.

Step 4
Enter your PIN using the on-screen keyboard or the number pad to the right.

Step 5
After entering your PIN, touch the OK button.

Step 6
At this point your remaining print quota will be displayed at the top of the screen within parentheses "( )".
Touch the COPY button to go to the Copy Settings screen.

Step 7
The Copy Settings button on the right side of the screen displays which output options are currently selected. If you wish to change any of the advanced output settings, touch the Copy Settings button to edit the output options. (Learn more about Advanced Copy Options.)

Step 8
You may specify the quantity of copies you wish to make at any time by entering the number using the keypad on the right hand side.

Step 9
Once you are ready to begin copying, press the green Start button to begin copying.

B. Advanced Copy Options
Pressing the Copy Settings button will display the following screen.

Here you may configure the following options:
  • Single sided or duplex printing
  • Stapling
  • Pages per sheet
  • Paper size

Press the OK button when you have finished selecting options, or press the Advanced tab for more options. Pressing the Advanced tab will display more advanced copy options:

Here you may configure the following options:
  • Collation
  • Output bin
  • Sharpness
  • Background removal
  • Scale to fit
