Scholarships

Scholarships are provided through Central Piedmont Community College Foundation and the generosity of industries, businesses, professional organizations, civic clubs, and individuals. The donor or a scholarship review team determines the recipient for those scholarships awarded by the College. Students who are on academic or financial aid suspension are ineligible for scholarships.

Important: Be sure to submit a FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
before applying for CPCC scholarships.
See Quick Steps for more details.

The Levine Scholarship application is also available for download. This scholarship requires a FAFSA and a one page essay. These will be accepted and awarded to students meeting criteria set forth by donors.

The scholarship program consists of two kinds of awards: merit-based scholarships and need-based scholarships. Scholarships are also awarded on a competitive basis applying the following criteria: academic excellence, achievement, leadership qualities, need or other criteria as stipulated by the donor.

Awards are usually restricted to tuition assistance and require the recipient to maintain a minimum GPA to continue the scholarship. Students must reapply each year.

General Scholarship Applications are available by downloading it or completing it online.

Awarded funds that are not used during the academic year are returned to the scholarship and do not carry over from year to year. Students must re-submit a scholarship application every year.
