Integrated Systems Technology
Overview
Integrated Systems Technology (IST) in Advanced Manufacturing is a new, high-demand career opportunity that involves cross-training in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems. American industries are becoming much more dependent upon the use of high-tech equipment that involves multiple, integrated systems. It is critical that companies be able to recruit and employ individuals who know how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain this high-tech equipment.
During this eight-week training program students will learn skills relating to electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems. The training emphasizes hands-on application and troubleshooting. Students will also receive training on resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, and general presentation.
Admissions
High School Diploma or equivalent is recommended, but not required. Skills and proficiencies should be developed in computer literacy, math, and reading.
A counseling/orientation appointment is required before the start of class.
Credential Awarded:
A Certificate in Integrated Systems Technology is awarded by the college upon completion of this program.
