Literary Club

Join the CPCC Community Development Literacy Club today!

As a member of the Literacy Club, also referred to as a book club, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Meet your fellow students
  2. Read interesting and exciting books agreed upon by the club
  3. Express your options, likes, and dislikes about a chosen book
  4. Expand your in class education out of the class

Literary Club Guidelines

  • The club will be open to any currently enrolled Community Development student who wishes to participate. All programs are welcome
  • The club participants will read books of their own choosing, either fiction or non-fiction, and of any genre (Drama, poetry, sci-fi, romance, horror, humor, self-help, etc.)
  • The current book will be selected by the majority of the club members
  • The club members will agree on the number of pages to read every week prior to the regular meeting on Friday
  • The current book is: "Sarah Plain and Tall", by Patricia MacLachlan (ISBN-13: 978-0-06-440205-7)
  • The club participants may guide their discussions using the resources listed below
