Learning Styles

There are four key learning styles.  Being familiar with these learning styles may help you to be the most effective tutor you can be.

These learning styles are:

  1. The Visual/Verbal Learning Style: Learns best when information is presented visually and in a written language format.
  2. The Visual/Nonverbal Learning Style:  Learns best when information is presented visually and in a picture or design format.
  3. The Tactile/Kinesthetic Learning Style:  Learns best when physically engaged in a "hands on" activity.
  4. The Auditory/Verbal Learning Style:  Learns best when information is presented auditory in an oral language format.
