Spring 2018 Open Enrollment

Do you know a high school student or young adult with autism spectrum disorder who could benefit from a free intervention program?

The TEACCH School Transition to Employment and Postsecondary Education Program (T-STEP) is a comprehensive intervention program to support transition to employment and/or secondary education with autism spectrum disorder. This program will be offered FREE of charge to students 16-21 years old at CPCC, Wake Tech and Pitt Community Colleges to prepare them for future employment or higher education.

Qualifying students can participate in this free 12-week program beginning January 23, 2018 at CPCC’s Central Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon – 1:30 p.m. The program will focus on:

  • Goal setting skills
  • Executive function skills
  • Emotional regulation skills
  • Social skills

Students also receive individual career counseling, higher education counseling and self-advocacy counseling. Spots are limited, so please act quickly. To see if you may qualify, please contact Elena Lamarche at 919.962.3303.
