Safety at Work - Central UMC

Information regarding course offerings was widely disseminated throughout the refugee community and related service providers both by word of mouth and informational fliers. Students interested in attending Safety at Work could apply for the class either by meeting with the RRA, attending a predictably scheduled intake/orientation session, or through a referral made by their current instructor.

Course Description:

A two-week intensive class. Focuses on basic workplace safety practices including recognizing common safety signs and personal protective equipment (PPE), identifying and communicating hazards to co-workers and supervisors, and building a sense of personal responsibility for workplace safety.
