Career Readiness Certificate (CRC)
The N.C. Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is awarded to individuals based on achievement in passing established WorkKeys® assessments competency testing, which is well recognized by national employers and government agencies. The certificate is awarded based on test scores in reading, applied math and locating information.
Cost
Individuals may register to take the WorkKeys assessments required for the CRC. Each assessment costs $10 for reading, math and locating information - all required to earn the certificate. Two additional assessments, writing and applied technology, are $20 each. Those who already hold the CRC may create or log into their online account. The cost of the certificate is $16 and sharing the certificate is free.

Teacher Assistant: Writing, reading and math $40
Career Readiness Certificate: Reading, math and locating information $30
Gastonia Firefighter: Silver level CRC and workplace observation
Assessment results
With the exception of the writing assessment, your scores will be available within seven business days. To view, you must create an account at www.myworkkeys.com. Chart below indicates levels. Note that the lowest level score determines the certificate you will receive.
