N.C. Career Readiness Certificate

The N.C. Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is a statewide assessment-based credential that gives employers and career seekers a uniform measure of key workplace skills.

For employers, the CRC offers a reliable means of determining whether a potential employee has the necessary literacy, numeracy and problem solving skills to be “job ready.”

For job seekers, even if you have a high school diploma, GED or a post-secondary degree, the CRC further verifies that you can handle the tasks that are common in today's workplace – finding information, reading and understanding instructions directions, as well as working with figures.

How It Works
The certificate is based on established WorkKeys® assessment tests. To earn a Career Readiness Certificate, individuals undergo testing related to reading, applied math, and locating information through the WorkKeys® skills assessment system.
