This course will focus on promoting student responsibility through social development rather than coercion. Marvin Marshall;s “Discipline without Stress: Punishment or Rewards” details theories behind the importance of reducing irresponsible behavior by creating learning opportunities. This approach creates a classroom in which students feel safe, enjoy learning and care for each other.
