IT Support Technician Certificate
IT Support Technicians provide help and advice to people and organizations in the use of computer software or equipment. They are also called Computer Support, Technical Support Specialists among other titles. There is a similar group called Help Desk Support, that assist non-IT users who are having computer problems.
This certification will give you the fundamental knowledge to become an entry level IT Support Technician. An IT support technician is usually responsible for providing first level support to end-users in any organization. A person in this field will be expected to work independently and as a strong team member. Understanding of desktop support, troubleshooting networks and managing security are expected skills. IT Support Technicians specialists work in many different industries, including IT, education, finance, health care, and telecommunication. Employment of IT Support Technicians is expected to grow 18 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job prospects are very favorable.
