Activity Director Training and Exam Preparation

CPCC offers two paths for becoming an activity director in North Carolina.

The first path begins with the Activity Director Basic Training course that qualifies you to become an activity director in assisted living communities and starts you toward national certification. The total length of 180 hours includes 90 hours of practical experience, and it fulfills the requirements of the Modular Educational Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP).

A fast-track alternative, called Bridge the Gap, is a 66-hour course that combines with Healthcare Activity Director to satisfy the 90-hour MEPAP requirement.

Some courses are offered only in particular semesters. Click below for additional details or call 704.330.4223.
