Career Transition Services for the Community
CPCC's career counseling service designed especially for community members and individuals taking Corporate & Continuing Education Courses.

Job Seeking Skills Class

HRD 6004 | Check online schedule for class days, times, and locations.

Tuition fee is waived for anyone unemployed or notified of a pending layoff.
  • Course content is loaded with current job-search strategies including internet usage.
  • Designed for the unemployed, underemployed, adults in job transitions, career changers, empty nesters, recent graduates, trailing spouses, or anyone in between assignments.
  • Learn to identify and effectively market your transferable skills.
  • Learn the mechanics of the job search: networking, applications, resumes, and interviewing.
  • Learn how to research and conduct informational interviews.

Software that allows you to explore different educational and career options.  It also provides a template for building a resume.  Available through Public Libraries of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, 704.336.2725.


Small Business Seminars
Free seminars offered by CPCC's eInstitute, conducted at local public libraries.  One-on-one entrepreneurship counseling is also available through the eInstitute.  704.330.4673
