The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Horticulture Technology prepares individuals for various careers such as greenhouse and nursery grower, plant breeder, arborist, landscape designer, estate gardener and more. Graduates will also be prepared to take the Certified Plant Professional, Certified Arborist or Licensed Pesticide Applicator examinations.
Classroom instruction and practical laboratory applications of horticultural principles and practices are included in the program of study. Students may also pursue a diploma in Horticulture Technology or certificates in Landscape Design, Horticulture Maintenance or Plant Production.
