International Business Study Abroad

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) conducts an interrnational  business course with travel to Shanghai and Beijing, China. The objectives are to study international business and the country’s economic, social and cultural impact on the world. The program will offer participants the opportunity to study the policies that have made China a global economic powerhouse, while providing individuals with exemplary international experiences that foster global understanding and personal growth.

Since 2001, the College’s students and faculty members, together with Charlotte community members, have participated in language immersion courses at in-country language centers. The study abroad program to China focuses on business, rather than language immersion; it features two weeks of study, and may be audited or counted towards academic credit. Students will register for the INT 180 course.

• Dates of travel: May  – June
• Program cost: $3,000 for airfare and accommodations. Financial aid may be applied toward the program’s cost. For additional details, call a CPCC Financial Aid Counselor at 704.330.6942.
• Application Deadline: Essays due by January 5, interviews conducted by February 9.
