CPCC Announces 2011 Study Abroad Program in China

2012 Trip Dates To Be Announced

Program allows students, faculty or Charlotte community members to gain a global perspective

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) conducts an interrnational  business course with travel to Shanghai and Beijing, China. The objectives are to study international business and the country’s economic, social and cultural impact on the world. The program will offer participants the opportunity to study the policies that have made China a global economic powerhouse, while providing individuals with exemplary international experiences that foster global understanding and personal growth.

Since 2001, the College’s students and faculty members, together with Charlotte community members, have participated in language immersion courses at in-country language centers. We also offer study abroad programs to other countries of interest. Information on those can be found by clicking this link http://www.cpcc.edu/study-abroad.

The study abroad program to China focuses on business, rather than language immersion; it features two weeks of study, and may be audited or counted towards academic credit. Students will register for the INT 180 course.

Additional program details include:

  • Dates of travel: May  – June
  • Program cost: $3,000 for airfare and accommodations. Financial aid may be applied toward the program’s cost. For additional details, call a CPCC Financial Aid Counselor at 704.330.6942.
  • Application Deadline: Essays due by January 5, interviews conducted by February 9.
