Business Administration

Welcome to the Business Department at Central Piedmont Community College where we have degree, diploma and certificate programs that meet the needs and interests of students and businesses in our community. Upon completion of our degree or certificate programs students should be able to apply their knowledge in the field of business in a variety of ways:

  • Analyzing securities transactions.
  • Analyzing and evaluating company performance and industry trends and communicating these results to different audiences.
  • Developing, organizing and delivering business-related presentations in collaboration with their peers, as well as incorporating consensus, compromise and other team building skills.
  • Identify the four functions of management (planning, organizing, leading and control) with the ability to explain and analyze how these concepts affect the business environment.

Students have a choice of pursuing our Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Business Administration or one of our various Business Administration Certificates with the following concentrations: Business Management, Workplace Business Skills, Business Operations, and Entrepreneurship.
