Welcome to the Accounting Department at Central Piedmont Community College where we offer degree, diploma and certificate programs that meet the needs and interests of students and businesses in our community. Upon completion of our degree program students should be able to:
- Create and maintain an accounting system applying US generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare basic personal and business income tax forms.
Students with bachelor degrees in fields other than accounting may complete courses necessary to meet the 30-hour concentration in accounting as required by the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination (Exam).
