Baking and Pastry Arts Program Outcomes

The Central Piedmont baking and pastry arts program is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).

American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accreditation Commission (ACFEF-AC) Program Success Outcomes are required by the Council for Higher Education Accreditations (CHEA) for Accreditation compliance. CHEA Standard 12.B.1 requires that the accreditor have accreditation standards or policies that require institutions or programs routinely provide reliable information to the public on their performance, including student achievement as determined by the institution or program. To officially comply with this CHEA Standard, the ACFEF AC has created guidelines, supported by policy to ensure proper submittal and publishing Program Success Outcomes. Our goal is to comply with the CHEA standard and to disclose our program with the results of our compliance.

Baking & Pastry Arts Programmatic Assessment Data

Students are qualified to apply for the Certified Pastry Culinarian (CPC) designation with the American Culinary Foundation (ACF) upon successful completion of the program. The college will assist them through that process, including finding the funds for the application process.

Associate Degree - Baking and Pastry Arts (A55130) Completers

  • Of 9 new students who began the program in fall 2015, 0 graduated by spring 2018 (0% graduation rate).
  • Of 14 new students who began the program in fall 2014, 2 graduated by spring 2017 (13.3% graduation rate).
