Graham to Lead Community Relations and Marketing Services

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) is pleased to announce that Jessica Graham has been selected as the new Assistant to the President for Community Relations and Marketing Services. In that role, she will oversee the College’s public relations, media relations, marketing and community relations initiatives.
 
“We are delighted that Jessica will be joining us,” said Dr. Tony Zeiss, president of CPCC. “We look forward to her involvement with CPCC and the community at large.”
 
Graham joins CPCC from Time Warner Cable, where she has served as director of public affairs since 2002. During her tenure with the organization, she launched the company’s award-winning “Hands Helping Heroes” campaign, executed public affairs and production initiatives for the 13-county Charlotte region and was instrumental in bringing such national programs as CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” A&E’s “Intervention” and National Geographic’s “Everyday Explorer” to the Queen City.
 
A 1992 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Graham has a bachelor’s degree in journalism & mass communication. She is a long-time member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – Charlotte Chapter, and received her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2003.
 
An active community member, Graham serves on the board of directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Classroom Central and the Union County Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte and a member of the Rotary Club of Charlotte, Women in Cable & Telecommunications, Association of Cable Communicators and the Charlotte Community Affairs Professionals.
 
During her 16-year career in the public relations industry, Graham has been recognized for her outstanding work, earning such honors as the 2008 PRSA Silver Anvil Award, the 2008 Association of Cable Communicators Beacon Award and the 2008 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Charlotte Chapter Board Member of the Year Award.
 
She will begin her new duties at CPCC effective December 8.
