Expand your floral design skills this spring

WHAT: If you’re a floral shop business owner interested in boosting your skills or a hobbyist who is enthusiast about creating beautiful floral arrangements for your home, then CPCC’s floral design classes are the place for you.
 
This spring, learn how to create floral arrangements from veteran florist Thomas Braswell, a professional designer and master florist who has taught at CPCC since 1999. Braswell will enhance your basic floral design skills and teach you how to create intricate designs that will impress your customers, family and friends.

Choose from one of the following advanced floral design classes:
 
Master Floral Designs (AVO 8574-40)
Join this advanced class which focuses on form, color and space. Using both fresh and silk flowers, you’ll take your flower arranging skills to the next level and build bouquets and floral designs that impress. After completing this course, you’ll be able to design the following types of arrangements: line, table, mass, wall, pedestal or tall, candelabra, buffet and period arrangements. A supply list will be provided in the first class. Please note: basic flower arranging techniques are required.

March 16 – April 27 (Mondays)

Sympathy Flowers (AVO 8710-40)
Learn the art of floral tributes in this design class devoted to sympathy flowers and funeral arrangements. Expressions of sympathy can range from fruit and plant baskets, wreathes, crosses or hearts on easels, to the varying types and sizes of casket sprays. Experienced students will learn the different types of arrangements suitable for sympathy/funeral designs, how to create several finished pieces and the changing trends in the industry, such as cremation and memorial pieces. Participants will receive a supply list at the first class. Please note: basic flower arranging techniques are required.
