Early Childhood Education Club workshop to teach early education facilities how to survive economic downturn
One-day workshop to help early childhood educators provide quality care with limited resources
WHAT: It’s a challenge to provide quality care, especially during today’s turbulent economic times when funding is low and resources are limited.
With this in mind, Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Early Childhood Education Club is proud to present a professional development workshop to teach early childhood educators how to survive today’s economic downturn with fewer resources and monetary support.
Together with Smart Start of Mecklenburg County, a non-profit organization that funds local programs for children ages birth to five years old and their families, our team of professionals will discuss the local resources that are available and ready to provide you with child care assistance.
The event will include 30-minute sessions focused on the following subject areas:
Professional Development
Community Resources
Smart Start Funding 101
Grass Roots Advocacy
Parent Involvement
WHEN: Saturday, October 17; 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
WHERE: Harris Campus Building I, CPCC Harris Campus, 3210 CPCC Harris Campus Dr.
CONTACT: Tickets are $10; attendees earn three Division of Childhood Development (DCD) training credit hours. For more information, please contact Joy Parks at 704.713.8759 or Zelma Goode at 704.330.4762.
