CPCC’s Institute for Entrepreneurship to Host Workshop on “Biotechnology for the Non-Scientist

WHAT: North Carolina ranks #3 as a national leader in the biotechnology field, but what does that signify for communities across the state? Better yet, what does the term “biotech” mean? Find out the answer to these questions, and others, at the Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Institute for Entrepreneurship’s Workshop on “Biotechnology for the Non-Scientist.”
 
Paul Knott, a curricula coordinator with the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) BioNetwork, will introduce you to the science behind the industry; describe biotech-related products, businesses and jobs; and conclude with a discussion of how these all fit together for the future of Mecklenburg County and the surrounding Charlotte Metro area.
