Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) welcomed 325 aspiring college students to its North and Levine Campuses on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for the College’s second annual College Day. During the event, community members attended several free, one-hour classes to learn more about the College and its certification and degree programs.
“We opened the doors to more than 90 of our classrooms, giving the community a clear picture of our quality programs and instructors,” said Dr. Tony Zeiss, president of CPCC. “College Day gives us the opportunity to introduce CPCC to area residents, an institution committed to offering programs that help students achieve personal and professional success.”
Throughout the day, CPCC “students” attended an array of continuing education classes, certification courses and specialized degree programs. Featured programs included Art, Automotive, Computers & Information Technology, GPS Technologies, Public Safety, Financial Issues & Small Business and much more. In addition, the event included campus tours, information tables and entertainment and art activities.
CPCC hopes to capitalize on the event’s success; the College’s spring enrollment registration begins November 14 for new students. For more information, please call 704.330.CPCC or visit www.cpcc.edu.
