CPCC’s Center for Sustainability to teach community how to live greener at home

Five-day class at Levine Campus to focus on the importance of energy efficiency, recycling and more

WHAT: Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Center for Sustainability is pleased to offer a new class to the Charlotte community – “Ways to Live Greener at Home.”

During the five-day class, participants will learn that achieving energy efficiency begins in the home. Students will examine recycling, discover how to save energy through new technologies and learn how to remodel their home using green construction.

Topics of discussion will include available tax incentives, the different organizations that promote green living and building and how to update neighborhood association by-laws to include these efficient energy systems.

WHEN: June 15, 17, 22 and 24; 6 – 8 p.m.

June 20; 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Saturday class)

WHERE: CPCC Levine Campus, Room 2218, 2800 Campus Ridge Rd., Matthews, N.C.
