Actors Lisa Smith and Patrick Ratchford

WHAT: CPCC Summer Theatre will kick off its 2009 season in style by bringing the timeless love story of King Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot to the Halton Theater stage in June.

The story follows Arthur, who has established the perfect kingdom of Camelot, assembled the best knights in the world at the Round Table and found a kind, loving wife in Queen Guenevere. That is until the French knight Lancelot arrives at the caste. First hated by all, he eventually proves himself and becomes the King's best friend, the best knight of the Round Table and involved in a love affair with the Queen.

When Mordred, the King's treacherous illegitimate son, catches on, he works to undo everything Arthur has achieved and the fate of the three main characters is decided.
