CPCC president to give a book signing of “The Wit & Wisdom of John Montgomery Belk”

Dr. Tony Zeiss to sign copies of his latest book on May 16 at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in SouthPark

 

WHAT: Dr. Tony Zeiss, president of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), will sign copies of his latest book, “The Wit & Wisdom of John Montgomery Belk,” during a special book signing event in Charlotte’s SouthPark area.  Dr. Zeiss’ new book is a collection of anecdotes about the late John Belk, former Charlotte mayor and department store executive, as told by friends and colleagues.

Mr. Belk is recognized throughout the Carolinas as an extraordinary business and civic leader who remained at the forefront of the community and his company – Belk, Inc. During his lifetime, he had a tremendous impact on thousands of people’s lives. It is their stories and experiences that are shared with readers throughout the pages of “The Wit & Wisdom of John Montgomery Belk.”

Dr. Tony Zeiss has grown CPCC exponentially since becoming its president in 1992. He is a seasoned writer who has authored and co-authored several books on adult literacy and economic and workforce development. His most recent publications include four books on creating high performance employees, a novel based on the War Between the States and a book on Community College Leadership.

In addition to signing books at the event, Dr. Zeiss will briefly discuss “The Wit & Wisdom of John Montgomery Belk” and conduct a Q&A session with audience members.
