CPCC hosts parent’s information session at Levine Campus September 2
WHAT: Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) will host “Successful College Parenting 101: A New Student’s Parents’ Information Session” for parents and guardians interested in learning more about the College. The event is open to any individual who parents a student (i.e. parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.). During the evening’s festivities, CPCC’s Enrollment and Student Services staff will lead a variety of discussions, including:
· Helicopter parenting
· What parents should know: FERPA, health insurance and your student
· Student activities, honor society, clubs and organizations
· Continuing education opportunities for parents
Following the one-hour information session, attendees will be invited to join the College’s Enrollment and Student Services team for a reception, featuring refreshments and prizes.
WHEN: Thursday, September, 2; 6 – 7 p.m. (Reception 7 – 7:30 p.m.)
WHERE: CPCC Levine Campus Auditorium (LV 2150), 2800 Campus Ridge Rd., Matthews
