CPCC holds bake sale to end childhood hunger during Sensoria celebration
WHAT: Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) will host five Great American Bake Sales during its annual arts celebration, Sensoria, April 12 – 17 to support Share Our Strength®, a non-profit organization that seeks to end childhood hunger throughout the country.
The bake sales will be held on the College’s Central Campus and will feature the culinary talents of CPCC’s Baking and Pastry Club and Catering Cuisine class, and a variety of local bakers and restaurants, including Cakes By Victoria, Delectable’s By Holly and Vela Delights. These groups will be selling such items as artisan breads, boxed lunches, cakes, brownies and other decadent sweets throughout the week. One hundred percent of the bake sale proceeds will be donated to Share Our Strength® to surround kids at risk of hunger with nutritious food where they live, learn and play.
CPCC will not be alone in its mission to end hunger on the national level. Individuals across the U.S. will show their support for this important cause by participating in bake sales within their local communities to mobilize Americans to end hunger as the organization’s Great American Bake Sale national campaign gains momentum.
