This week, Central Piedmont Community College shared its new Curriculum Course Guide and Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) Summer Schedule with the local community. In past years, the College has created a single, comprehensive schedule that included both its curriculum and non-credit (CCE) programs. In an effort to provide local residents with more accurate information that better targets their career goals and to save expenses, the College has moved to a two-schedule format.
“With up-to-date course listings and an easy-to-read layout, users will be able to find the keys to their personal and professional success faster,” said Dr. Tony Zeiss, president of CPCC. “We hope that the community will consider these booklets valuable reference tools as they build their class schedule and future at CPCC.”
In an effort to conserve resources and go more “green,” the College also minimized the size of both schedules and is directing students to its online services. “The new design uses less paper, demonstrating CPCC’s on-going commitment to the environment,” said Dr. Zeiss. “While we are extremely proud to serve as a local steward of the environment, we also recognize that not every Mecklenburg County resident has online access. As usual, hard copies of both the CCE Summer Schedule and Curriculum Course Guide will be available at any one of our six campuses located throughout Mecklenburg County.”
Local residents interested in enrolling in CPCC’s curriculum courses may visit www.schedule.cpcc.edu to view the College’s degree and certification programs. Business owners searching for employee development training, working professionals seeking to learn new skills or community members interested in personal enrichment may view the Corporate & Continuing Education Summer Schedule online at http://cce.cpcc.edu/browse or can reserve a hard copy by calling 704.330.4223. Central Piedmont Community College is the largest community college in North Carolina, offering close to 300 degree and certification programs, customized corporate training, market-focused continuing education, and special interest classes. CPCC is academically, financially and geographically accessible to all citizens of Mecklenburg County. In 2002, the National Alliance of Business named CPCC the Community College of the Year for its response to the workforce and technology needs of local employers and job seekers through innovative educational and training strategies.
